Contract Negotiations Report - Jeff Hertler

Trustee Report - Mark Steigler
Currently, the four Trustees for our Local are: Darren Kanda, Jon Polit, Dan Runions and Mark Steigler. Typically, during the month immediately following the end of each quarter, two of the Trustees will obtain all of the necessary paperwork from the Financial Secretary / Treasurer to complete the audit then return the completed audit forms to the Financial Secretary / Treasurer for distribution to the Regional and International offices. After completion of the fourth quarter audit each year, an annual audit is performed which is essentially a reconciliation of all four of the previous quarterly audits. Quarter 3 audit is complete.
VPP Report - Kathy West
VPP is about Employee Involvement and it takes all of us for it to work. We are looking for a Mentor Site. Steve Swader and I visited 2 VPP STAR sites in the last month, along with company reps. The purpose for the visits were to meet with management and hourly (Union and a non-union) to discuss the merits of becoming a VPP site. What commitment from both sides is required to form an equal partnership Labor/Management and Cal/OSHA? Each site shared experiences & would be a good fit for mentorship.
