Meal Settlement
A ruling is expected within the next few months regarding the meal allowance settlement for the three California ConocoPhillips' refineries. The 9th Circuit Court of Appeals could rule in favor of a class action suit. If they do rule in favor of a class action suit it will move to Federal Court. If the 9th Circuit Court does not rule in favor of class action the issue will go to state court for the three plaintiffs. Both sides have given their arguments. More to follow...
No Contract Yet For Ponca City Union Workers
Union workers at Ponca City, OK, are still working without a contract even though they expected a signed contract earlier this year - just like Santa Maria union workers did. Articles of Agreement
Between
ConocoPhillips Company
and
United Steelworkers International Union, AFL,CIO, CLC, for and on behalf of its Local 675 representing employees at Los Angeles Refinery; Local 326 representing employees at Rodeo, and Local 534 representing employees at Santa Maria.
This Agreement shall become effective February 1, 2009, and will remain in effect through Midnight January 31, 2012 and thereafter for one (1) year periods unless notice of intent to cancel or amend the Agreement is given in writing, by either the Union or the Company no less than sixty (60) days prior to the contract termination date.
Lunch Money Settlement
