The Santa Maria refinery during the 1970s........
The years between 1955 and the 1970s brought significant safety and technological improvements to the equipment in the refining industry. Yet, even as equipment changed, the operators and maintenance technicians who ran and maintained it during the 1970s had some of the same core values that the union stands for today.
Together... Part of Something Great.
We recognize the path that was paved for us during the 1970s and appreciate the dedication of those before us.
We are comprised mainly of the same two departments which began here years ago - Operations and Maintenance.
