The Santa Maria refinery during the 1960s........
On any given afternoon down at the union hall of today glimpses of the past appear in old file cabinets that creak and resist when opened. Old snapshots and correspondence are still there reminding us of "the old days".
Days when a handshake was as good as gold and your fellow worker was your partner who helped you get through the shift safely so that you could both come back tomorrow.
Together... Part of Something Great.
Today we recognize the path that was paved for us during the 1960s and appreciate the dedication of those before us.
We are comprised mainly of the same two departments which began here years ago - Operations and Maintenance.
